The aim of the task is to address the learners' attention to the two different word orders in Danish main clauses: inverted word order and not inverted word order. After doing the task the learners should know the difference between the two word orders and be able to identify them in sentences. I also hope that increasing the learners' awareness of the different structures will help them to use the stuctures correctly in their own speech.
Target group: students with A2/B1 level of Danish
Maybe it is a good idea to tell the students that you are working on word order in main clauses, because there might be some other logical possibilities for sorting the sentences (I didn't investigate that). I tried to choose some tricky cases where it might not be so obvious what the subject is. I also wanted to have a variation of what comes first in the inverted sentences.
Sorter sætningerne i to grupper. (skriv nummeret i kasserne under)
1. Tidligere har de arbejdet i Libanon, Iran og Kuwait.
2. Cay Flemming og Jørgen Olsen har allieret sig med teateragenten Hanne Wilhelm Hansen, som er begejstret for såvel musik som manuskript.
3. Selvom dansk tv holder sig tilbage, har TV 2 dog købt et godt fransk dokumentarprogram.
