Students should be given homework

- We want people to be responsible. If they get extra work to do they develop important attitude to work as a whole. This valuable quality will help them in future life. Person will be more trustworthy. It means he will have more friends and won’t end up alone which is scary.
- Homeworks help teacher to understand, have student understood new theme. If student didn’t manage to do his homework correctly, teacher sees where he or she can help this student. That means student will write the final exam better, so again – better education.

- We want students to gather as much knowledge as possible. You never know what you will need in the future and any information might be useful after all.

- On my opinion, homework is given to students for a reason. When they do it they have a chance to remember hat they have studied in the morning. You must agree the main point of study is to remember things. When students do not repeat given information they forget and attending school becomes pointless.
- If you do not understand a new topic you can do homework, repeat a new material and maybe understand the topic.
- If you have a mark 7 or 8 and teacher does not know what mark to put you can show that you were doing your homeworks and work would be better.
- Giving homework makes the best use of teachers who can spend lesson time teaching rather than just supervising individual work that could be done at home.
- Homework is a vital and valuable part of education. There are only few hours in each school day, it is not enough time to cover properly all the subjects children need to study. Setting homework extends study beyond school hours, allowing a wider and deeper education.

- You can manage your time to do the most important things that’s why you should concentrate yourself hardly.
- The main thing is that we have to respect the person who everyday stands in front of us and tries to give us knowledge.
Students should NOT be given homework

- If you ask me, I think that society wants young people to develop in different ways, not only learning in theory. And as we all know, any activity requires time. Students basically lose a big part of their life spending time on homeworks. That leads to activity degradation in the country and the whole world.
- We have 14 lessons at school. So in total we have to do 14 homeworks almost every day. For example, we have 6 math lessons in 5 days so we have to do math homework every day. The real problem is that students get extremely exhausted every day. They have less time to sleep and that brings them to sleeping at lessons and bad understanding of material at school.

- Some homeworks are given as a chance to express students point of view and to increase the mark. But unfortunately students do not do it anyway so they only get bad marks, which can ruin their future opportunities.
- Another thing is that teachers give completely silly tasks which are not even connected to the main subject. As a result students spend a lot of time doing work which will never be paid off. If they hadn’t have that work to do they would have spent their free time on something more interesting and maybe even intellectual.

- Doing homework you are losing your own time which you can spend on more useful things.
- Every person is a personality and teachers should give every student the time to think what he wants or what she wants.

- If you want my opinion, doing homeworks is useless because you wouldn’t get for that mark and if you didn’t understand the topic you can’t do homework.
- But to be honest students don’t do it every time, that’s why it is pointless, because they if they want to study they will study anyway.
- Setting homework does little develop good study skills. It is hard to check whether the homework student produce is really their own.
