We offer a 24 hour blended course that consists of 16 face-to-face hours in the classroom and 8 hours of independent work. The course is officially approved as a professional development event in Latvia and the participants receive a certificate. You can see the course syllabus below.
- Thinking skills. What does it really mean? (2 hours)
- Tools for piloting: assessing quality of learners’ objectives (3 hours, 1.5 hours are dedicated to independent work)
- Stages of competence development and their role in the process of assessment (2 hours)
- Tools for piloting: assessing quality of learners’ questions (3 hours, 1.5 hours are dedicated to independent work)
- Accepting the problem as the first step in the process of competence development (2 hours, 0.5 hours are dedicated to independent work)
- Tools for piloting: indicators for accepting the problem in a group of learners (3 hours, 1 hour is dedicated to independent work)
- Working with a bank as a tool for organising learners’ independent work (2 hours, 0.5 hour is dedicated to independent work)
- Tools for piloting: assessing the quality of parameters proposed by learners (3 hours, 1.5 hours are dedicated to independent work)
- Other tools for assessing thinking skills of learners and their use in the classroom (4 hours, 1.5 hours are dedicated to independent work)
